Introducing Commerce: Make Your Community The Storefront

Apr 29, 2026

Digital products have quietly changed what a storefront is.

The most valuable moments inside any app no longer happen on product pages. They happen in conversations: a user tagging a friend in a post, a host holding up a product on a livestream, a group member asking where to book a hotel with a rooftop pool. Intent is formed inside the community.

Yet most apps have no way to act on this. Engagement rises, recommendations fly, questions get answered, and then users leave the app to search, compare, and convert somewhere else. The community created the intent. A different platform captured the outcome.

Meet social.plus Commerce, our newest capability, turning community moments into something users can actually act on, right where the moment happened.

What is social.plus Commerce

social.plus Commerce is the layer that connects high-intent community conversations to products and offerings they can actually engage with.

When a member posts about something they love, the product can be tagged right inside the post. When a host features an item on a livestream, viewers can tap into it without breaking the broadcast. When someone asks where to find the thing in the photo, the answer is right there.

These features make up Commerce today, and they work together.

Product Catalogue: the foundation of discoverable assortment

Everything in Commerce starts here. The Catalogue is where your products, properties, courses, or offerings live, ready to be discovered anywhere in your community.

Brands can populate the Product Catalogue by uploading a CSV in bulk or by adding products manually from the Console. Everything inside is instantly searchable, filterable by status (Active or Archived), and sortable from any view. Once a product is in the Catalogue, it is immediately discoverable and ready to be tagged anywhere in the community.

Product Tagging in Posts: close the discovery-to-action gap

Posts are where most of your community's intent gets expressed in text and media. Product Tagging lets that interest resolve into something real. Tag items from the Catalogue inside any post, text, image, video, or mixed-media, and users can engage with those items directly without leaving the platform. Every view and click on a tagged product is captured as structured data, giving brands a clear read on which content is driving product interest and which products are driving content performance.

Tag and Pin Products in Livestream: interactive moments without the disruption

Livestream is where intent spikes hardest. A host holds something up and attention locks in. That moment has never been more valuable. It is also where friction is most expensive, because a user leaving the stream to search for a product elsewhere is a user who is no longer part of the moment.

Now, hosts can tag up to 20 items from the Product Catalogue before or during a broadcast and pin one as an overlay the moment they go live. Co-hosts can be allowed for tagging, so brands keep control of who's featuring what on air. The tagged list can be edited in real time and stays live for replay viewers too.

On the viewer's side, the experience stays immersive. The video keeps playing while users tap the tag icon, browse featured items, and open the product in an in-app browser.

For admins, every tagged item is visible and editable across the Console.

Commerce is not only about commerce

"Commerce" describes what happens, not who it's for. Underneath, it is an infrastructure for turning community moments into intent, and the intent can be anything the brand decides matters most: a purchase, a booking, a sign-up, a save, or a tap to find out more.

A travel brand can surface a property the instant it comes up in a traveller's conversation. A wellness app can tag a program the moment someone asks about a coach's routine. A sports operator can pin live markets inside the heat of a match. A retailer can feature an item the second a creator holds it up.

The moment is different. The outcome is different. What Commerce does is the same every time: close the distance between "I want that" and doing something about it. If the last decade of digital product building was about owning your audience, the next one is about owning the moments of intent inside it.

Commerce is available now across social.plus. Get in touch with our team for a personalized walkthrough or explore more here: Product Catalogue, Product Tagging in Posts, Tag and Pin Products in Livestream.
