social.plus Definitions and Overcharges Policy
MONTHLY ACTIVE USERS (MAU): MAU is the number of unique users (with uniqueness defined by the user ID) that connect to social.plus servers through SDK or API to create or consume content within a monthly billing cycle. MAU number is based on per-user instead of per-device, meaning that a user with the same user-ID with multiple devices will be counted as 1 MAU.
INACTIVE USERS: Inactive users are the total number of users, with uniqueness defined by their user ID, created within the social.plus account that does not establish any connection to any social.plus network in the period of month MAU is being calculated. Inactive Users are chargeable as per table below only after they exceed 10 times the number of MAU.
CONCURRENT CONNECTIONS: Concurrent connections are counted as the highest number of devices that are simultaneously connected to the social.plus servers at any given time. It is important to note that this count is based on devices, not individual users. Here is how we measure concurrent connections based on the type of product integration:
- Mobile Products: For integrations involving mobile platforms, each mobile device connected counts as one concurrent connection. Therefore, if a user connects from two different mobile devices, this would result in two concurrent connections.
- Web Products: For web-based integrations, each web tab or browser instance counts individually. Thus, if a user opens two tabs of the same website, it counts as two concurrent connections, regardless of it being the same user.
VISITORS USERS: Visitors Users are public visitors who access in whole or in part the functionalities powered by social.plus in your platform and consume contents without creating an account or logging in. To support public access as a way to boost engagement without a significant increase of the monthly fees, we provide a free quota of Visitors Users up to 2x the chosen MAU volume. After this amount, a small fee will apply as described in Section 2 below.
Important Note on Visitors Users & Concurrent Connections: While a sizable portion of Visitor Users are non chargeable, all the public visitors still count toward concurrent connections.
OVERCHARGES: Charges that might be incurred by the Customer exclusively if its monthly usage exceeds the usage limits agreed upon in the Order Form. Details on all the applicable overcharges can be found below.
