Motivation, encouragement, and community often determine whether someone sticks to a routine. Smart Fit wanted to capture that sense of connection inside its app and turn it into a source of motivation for members. This vision led to the launch of a new social experience powered by social.plus.

Launching a social layer inside the Smart Fit app

The new experience was introduced through a dedicated Social tab inside the Smart Fit mobile app, available to both Android and iOS users. The feature was designed to feel like a natural extension of the existing app rather than a separate product.

Members can now create personalized profiles that include photos, short bios, and details about their fitness interests and routines. These profiles help users connect with others who share similar goals and training styles.

Within the social feed, members can publish photos, short videos, polls, and text updates related to their workouts. Other users can react and comment, turning personal milestones into shared moments of encouragement.

One of the most popular interactions revolves around members posting their completed workouts using the hashtag TáPago. These posts celebrate the effort of finishing a workout and invite others to engage and show support.

The app also allows users to join interest based groups where members discuss topics such as running, strength training, or nutrition. Challenges add another layer of engagement by encouraging members to participate in friendly competition, either individually or as teams. Private messaging enables members to connect directly, plan workouts together, and motivate each other outside the public feed.
