Taking care of your health rarely happens in one place. Sleep tips come from one source, a nutritionist from another, a pilates studio from a third, and the people working toward the same goals are somewhere else entirely. Like:me, a Brazilian holistic health app, brings it all together: professionals, programs and services across movement, sleep, nutrition, relationships and emotional wellbeing. What makes it work is that none of it happens alone. In Like:me, community features are not an add-on to the product; they are how users find professionals, follow programs and stay with their journey.
<sprscript-green>The Challenge<sprscript-green>
Bringing experts, programs and people into one journey
Like:me works as a marketplace for wellbeing. Users discover Profissionais (expert profiles), follow Protocolos (structured wellness programs) and book Serviços offered by professionals, adding each one to their Agenda and their phone calendar. Every piece serves the individual well. But wellbeing is rarely a solo effort: people want to ask questions, share how they are doing and learn from others on the same path.
Without a social layer, those conversations would happen outside the app, on messaging apps and social networks Like:me does not control. The team wanted them inside the experience, right next to the programs and professionals users already rely on. Building that in-house would have meant owning profiles, feeds, groups, events, real-time chat and live video at once, plus the moderation and maintenance that come with them.
<sprscript-green>Why social.plus<sprscript-green>
One infrastructure for every way users connect
For Like:me, community sits at the core of the product. Comunidades are where users discover professionals and programs, chats are where they get guidance, and live sessions are where experts teach in real time. Without profiles, feeds, groups, events, one-to-one and group chat, live chat and live streaming working together, the marketplace would be little more than a catalogue. social.plus gave the team all of it as one connected infrastructure, plugged straight into the app instead of separate tools to stitch together.
For a Brazilian wellness brand, health has always been something people share: with friends at the gym, with a running group, with the professional who knows them by name. Building that into the app lets Like:me meet users the way they already take care of themselves, while keeping full control of its brand, its relationship with users and the first-party data each conversation creates.
<sprscript-green>Implementation<sprscript-green>
Built on the TypeScript SDK and React Native UIKit
Like:me built its social experience with the social.plus TypeScript SDK and React Native UIKit, then shaped it around its own product and vocabulary. Comunidades are communities curated by health and wellbeing specialists, where users join conversations, access exclusive content, organize their journey and keep up with what's new. Chats run on social.plus chat, customized by Like:me, so users can talk to specialists and to their community in one place. On top of that, Like:me added its own AI layer: assistants trained on each professional's knowledge, available right inside the chat.

The social layer sits alongside the rest of the product rather than apart from it. A user can move from a Protocolo to a community conversation about it, message the professional behind a Serviço, or join a support group for a specific need, all without leaving the app.

<sprscript-green>The Results<sprscript-green>
A wellness journey users don't walk alone
Like:me now offers one app where a user's routine, health data, the professionals who guide them and the people who share their goals all live together. Instead of tracking progress alone and looking for support elsewhere, users find answers, encouragement and expert guidance in the same place.
For professionals, the community extends their reach beyond a single session. Their profiles, programs and services sit next to the conversations where users ask questions and share progress, and a professional's page can point users to other providers they trust.
For Like:me, every conversation happens on its own platform. That gives the team a direct view of which topics, professionals and formats matter most to its users as it grows in the Brazilian market.
<sprscript-green>What's Next<sprscript-green>
Bringing products into live sessions
Like:me's next step is linking products directly to its livestreams, so users can find what a professional features in a session without leaving it. It builds on the live experience already in place: the same sessions where users learn from experts and ask questions in real time will also become a place to act on what they learn.
